Missions

We Support the Following Foreign Missions:

1.  Voice of the Martyrs  (Click this link to visit their web site.)
Voice of the Martyrs is a nonprofit, interdenominational Christian missions organization dedicated to serving our persecuted family worldwide through practical and spiritual assistance and leading other members of the body of Christ into fellowship with them. They operate in both restricted and hostile nations around the world.

2.  Gospel In Action  (Click this link to visit their web site.)
Bore holes are deep drilled wells, usually over 100 feet deep. Most are fitted with an Afridev pump which is of simple construction, reliable, and easily serviced. The Afridev is used throughout Africa and Asia.
We have found that in Malawi, at least, these bore holes serve villages of 800 to 1200 people, and sometimes the bore hole is used by more than one village. One bore hole that we repaired was used by a government (public) school of 800 students, and 4 villages — this totaled up to over 5000 people!
This project is not just about meeting physical needs, as important as that is, but meeting spiritual needs and presenting these remote villages with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

3.  Far Reaching Ministries  (Click this link to visit their web site.)
In December of 1998, Wes Bentley founded Far Reaching Ministries. He then started the Chaplains training program for the Sudan People’s Liberation Army (SPLA). FRM is now the recognized Chaplin training arm for South Sudan and have fielded over 400 men. FRM expanded their ministry to other parts of Africa and the world. In the following years, they have started ministries in South Sudan, Uganda, Kenya, the Congo, Mauritius, South Africa, France, Ireland, Russia, Asia, and the United States.

We Support the Following Local Missions:

1.  1st Step Pregnancy Resource Center  (Click this link to visit their web site.)
1st Step is a ministry that focuses on the young women who need to know that there are alternatives to abortion.  They provide physical as well as spiritual resources to those who are seeking answers about the new life they carry in their wombs.

2.  Fair Haven Camps  (Click this link to visit their web site.)
Since its beginning in 1950, Fair Haven Camps has provided a camping program where youth from Maine, New England, and beyond can come to a safe place, experience God’s creation, and leave with a lasting relationship with Jesus Christ. As a Maine summer camp, we take advantage of the rugged beauty of our natural lakefront setting. We expose the campers to exciting programs in Maine’s outdoors and use the teaching opportunities to develop youth personally and spiritually.

3.  Sarah Lawhorne
Prior to entering the mission field, Sarah attended Safe Harbor Church. She had been seeking God’s will for her and began to realize that her calling was to ministry in the Middle East. So, Sarah, after several months of preparation and many challenges to overcome, finally arrived in Kirkuk, Iraq to minister to the many orphans among the Yazidi refugees.
